THE PAN is a transmission by Pampas Fields Noise Found art, an independent project based in Sapporo, Hokkaido. The work crosses music, moving images, cassette culture, Found Art and speculative folklore rather than staying inside one genre.
What does it sound like?
Japanese pop melody collides with alternative rock, noise, psychedelic texture and fragments of harder music. The surrounding world adds hard-SF ideas, UFO stories, mythology, ontology and found footage.
This page is not a map of the whole Sapporo scene. It is one local signal from it: the context behind THE PAN and the doors into the work.
